New Paper in Ecological Economics

Feb 14, 2021

The paper “Too Cold to Be Skeptical: How Ambient Temperature Moderates the Effects of CSR Communication” by Wassili Lasarov, Stefan Hoffmann (both Department of Marketing), Jan S. Krause, Ulrich Schmidt (both Kiel Institute for the World Economy and Department of Economics), and Robert Mai (Grenoble Ecole de Management) has been accepted by the Journal “Ecological Economics” and will be published soon. Based on an experimental study, the study shows that ambient temperature moderates consumer evaluations of CSR communications. In warmer ambient temperatures, reports of ecological (vs. economic) motives induce consumer skepticism toward the CSR communication from the firm. You can find a free download here (until 03.04.).
